: (1) The Government of Nepal and designated agencies may conduct regulation, inspection, monitoring, research and evaluation regarding whether health institutions and service providers maintain quality in accordance with the prescribed standards.
(2) According to the results obtained from the inspection, research and monitoring carried out according to sub-section (1), if it is found that the public health is affected due to the non-compliance of the mentioned standards, the body that approves the establishment and operation of the health institution may order the closure of such institution.
(3) The related government will be responsible for closing down the institution in accordance with the order under sub-section (2).
(4) Appropriate mechanisms will be established for research, regulation, quality measurement, monitoring and evaluation.
